FLYING FREE: BEHIND THE SCENES OF BIRDCAGE

A celebration of student filmmakers

The 20 minute short film Birdcage was the biggest and most ambitious project my class tackled during my time at SAIT. Capturing the passion and dedication that was present during every stage of Birdcage's production was very important to me.

Being Director, Producer & Editor on this project meant I had a lot of control and was able to lean into making a film about the camaraderie and teamwork that made Birdcage possible. I was also able to focus a bit on the people behind the project, giving each of the talented creative heads a chance to shine.
